Hello,
Is there a way to allow editable documents (excel, word, etc.) posted to a file list page in Confluence to be edited?
When I click on the drop down arrow in front of the file name, I click on the Edit File button but it displays a box that says I can edit with a download for Mac (which I am not using).
When I download the file from the file list, it opens in a new window, I enable editing, make changes and click save. I refresh my Confluence file list page and open the file again but my edits are not saved.
My current work around is to delete the original file and upload the edited file manually. Or add versions to the file name but that becomes congested very fast and is not an optimal solution.
I would think there must be a way to do this? I have PMs that need to update their project files on a daily basis. Any suggestions?
Thanks!
Christie
You can use Atlassian Companion app through which you can edit files locally and upload them. You will find the installer on the same link.
