I'm the only person on this project at the moment. I want to upgrade to Standard but when I try I get a "You Need Permission" warning.
I am the administrator but I can't find a way to give myself permission to upgrade.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Hi @Oliver Regueiro and welcome to Community!

Try going to https://admin.atlassian.com/ to see which Confluence instances you have an admin role for.

Otherwise, it might be helpful to include a screencapture of the message you're seeing so Community users can have more clues about what might be happening.

Hello @Oliver Regueiro

The issue suggest you fail to have the org admin permission for the cloud site.

Follow the below steps:

  1. Login to admin.atlassian.com
  2. Navigate to Users
  3. Search for your user
  4. Click the profile and search for roles
  5. Validate if you have the org admin or site admin access
  6. If not go to groups
  7. Look for org-admin or site-admin groups
  8. Add your self to it
  9. If you can't access admin.atlassian.com Contact Atlassian Support for the same

We also provide the freelancing support, let me know if you need any of them.

Thanks

Hello @Oliver Regueiro

It seems like you are a product admin in your cloud site which gives you control to confluence application but doesn't gives you permission to control billing rights

For Upgrading the Product Plan you might require any of the below role:

  • Site Admin Access
  • Org Admin Access

You can see more information in https://support.atlassian.com/user-management/docs/give-users-admin-permissions/

Summing up I suggest you to perform below steps:

Access Atlassian Administration:

  • Navigate to admin.atlassian.com
  • If you have more than one organization, select the correct one

Go to Users:

  • In the navigation menu, select Directory then Users

Find Your Account:

  • Locate your user account in the list and click on it to open your profile

Check and Assign Site Admin Role:

  • On your user profile page, look for the Roles section
  • Check if you are assigned the Site Admin role for your Confluence site
  • If you are not, you should see an option to Assign site admin role or similar. Follow the prompts to grant yourself this role

We also provide freelancing support incase you need it, do let me know.

Thanks
