I have page X where I inserted a Table of content macro.

On page X, I have a local tab group, with localtab 1 and localtab 2. tab 2 has 2 section headings 2A & 2B, both are displayed on the table of content, but when I click on them, I'm NOT taken to those sections on the localtab2. Why is that? Is there a way to add bookmark, so that link will re-direct> Thank you.

Hi @an le ,

That happens because the Table of Contents macro only generates anchor links to headings, but it doesn’t know how to “switch” tabs inside the Local Tabs macro. When you click, it tries to jump to the heading, but since the tab is hidden, the scroll doesn’t look right.

A workaround is to use Anchor macros inside your tab content and then link to those anchors manually (instead of relying only on the TOC). That way, you can control exactly where the link should go, and it will also open the right section once the tab is visible.

Unfortunately, there’s no automatic way for the TOC to switch tabs in Confluence — it’s a known limitation.

Hope that clears things up!
