I'm considering downgrading Confluence Cloud Standard to free version.

I'm considering downgrading Confluence Cloud Standard to free version.

Want to know how to move to the free version

The free storage size is only 2GB. The current plan is 250GB, and we are currently using 7.7GB. If we change to the free plan, how will this 2GB limit affect our use? For example: Unable to save page changes? Can be changed or added page but can't upload photos or files?

It seems that the Free Plan does not have the Archive & Unarchive function. If we switch to it, what will happen to the originally archived space?

To address your concerns about downgrading from Confluence Cloud Standard to the Free version, here are some key points to consider:

1. Moving to the Free Version:

Typically, downgrading to a lower-tier plan, like the Free version, involves adjusting your subscription settings in your Atlassian account. You'd need to navigate to the billing or subscription section and select the option to change your plan. It's advisable to review Atlassian's official documentation or contact their support for specific steps tailored to your account.

2. Impact of the 2GB Storage Limit:

- Exceeding Storage Limit: If your current usage is 7.7GB and you move to a plan with a 2GB limit, you'll exceed the storage capacity. This usually means you won't be able to upload new content (like pages, attachments, etc.) until you reduce your storage usage.

- Page Changes and Additions: You should still be able to edit and add new pages as long as these changes don't require additional storage (beyond the 2GB limit).

- Uploading Photos and Files: Uploading new files or photos will likely be restricted if these actions cause your storage use to exceed the 2GB limit.

3. Archive & Unarchive Function:
- In the Free plan, the lack of the Archive & Unarchive feature means you won't be able to archive spaces.

- For existing archived spaces, it's possible that you might lose the ability to access these archived spaces or they might be automatically unarchived. However, the exact behavior can vary, and it's best to consult Atlassian's documentation or support to understand the specific implications.

Given the complexity of downgrading and the potential impact on your data and workflows, I strongly recommend:

- Backing Up Your Data: Before making any changes, ensure you have a complete backup of your Confluence data.

- Consulting Atlassian Support: Reach out to Atlassian's support team for guidance tailored to your specific situation, especially regarding the handling of your existing data and the features available in the Free plan.

- Reviewing Atlassian Documentation: Check the latest documentation from Atlassian for any updates or changes to the downgrade process and the features available in different plans.

Remember, each Confluence Cloud setup might have unique configurations and data, so the exact steps and implications can vary

Thank you for your reply. I have seen this article What happens if I exceed my storage limit? before, but it only mentioned that the data will not disappear.

What happens if I exceed my storage limit?

So I want to know if it will affect the changes to the page that originally contains attachments.
