I'd like to create a bunch of folders in one space like:
Dept 1a - apply a specific workflow
Dept 1b - apply a different, specific workflow
Dept 2a - Another different workflow
Dept 2b - another different workflow
Does anyone know if this functionality is possible?
Thank you so much for your assistance!
Hi @Carly Scarlato , welcome to the Atlassian Community and thanks for your question.
If I've understood correctly your question, you want to apply different workflows to different pages in Confluence, using Comala.
Please check out this product documentation, https://appfire.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/CDMC/pages/656674827/Applying+workflows+to+review+content#Workflow-applied-on-a-page-by-page-basis
If that doesn't answer your question, you can always open a ticket to the vendor, who should be able to help as they're the product experts. https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/142/comala-document-management?hosting=cloud&tab=support
Best wishes
Hi @Valerie Knapp , thank you so much for taking the time to respond. You are absolutely correct. We would like to one of more workflows to different groups of pages so that the owners of those pages will get the request for approval.
All of the documentation and posts that I have read have indicated that this is not currently possible and that it may be in the future. I thought that I would ask to see if anyone has come up with any creative workarounds to accomplish this.
Thank you so much for everything!

Hi Carly,
Thank you for your question!
I’m excited to share that in Q1 2025, we’ll be releasing a new feature in Comala Document Management for Confluence Cloud that will allow you to enable multiple space workflows and condition their application based on labels.
For example, you could assign different labels to documents in various folders—either manually or using predefined templates—and the corresponding workflow will be applied automatically as long as the label matches.
This feature seems to align perfectly with your use case, and we’d love for you to try it out once it’s available!
I’m the Product Manager of Comala Document Management, so feel free to reach out if you’d like to know more. You can schedule a personal meeting with me via Calendly to discuss the product and our roadmap in more detail.
Best regards,
