Is there a way to do statistic type on multiple fields in pie chart gadget?

Pan Wong June 12, 2014

In confluence, there is a macro called Pie Chart where you can specify a filter or project and analyze based on a specify field (assignee, component etc).

I have a scenario where we actually want the pie chart to run statistic type on both component & labels. The reason why I need this is because we actually use labels as like our sub-component.

For example, we would have component like NBA, but labels of Western Conference and Eastern Conference. Ideally, we would like the report to show NBA - Western Conference as an statistic breakdown.

Thanks in advance.

Hello Pan, from the Chart Macro itself you may only use a table as data feed for the specific visualization. Nevertheless, for the case you described there is a "How To" section explaining how to combine data extracted from the database using the SQL Plugin combined with other components, to achieve the Dynamic chart you seek. Note that this documentation is a bit dated and may need adaptation, but give good insight into the process.

Hope it helps.
