Hey community,
I am looking for a way to export knowledge base articles (KBs) from Zendesk and import them over as Confluence pages. We are using Confluence Cloud. Also it would be awesome if there is some bulk approach and not just copy / paste.
Has anyone dealt with such a task?
Thanks upfront!
Hello @Dimitar I_ Dimitrov
I did. Three times :)
And each time I found out it's easier to copy paste content from the static Zendesk HTML site to Confluence.
Now, that was before Confluence supported HTML import, so you may give it a try - if Zendesk supports a reasonable HTML support.
Either way, first ensure that your Zendesk formatting is consistent and there are no hidden gems. Zendesk editor is notoriously misbehaving often things are not what they seem.
Hey Kristian, thanks for the reply. While Confluence supports HTML embeding in the pages, at the same time the images cannot be actually migrated over. So I guess my findings are:
1. you can use the HTML embedded code import to carry over the text portion of the KBs
2. for the images the only viable option remains copy and paste unfortunately
I could not find anything better but I guess it is what it is.
Thanks!

Hi @Dimitar I_ Dimitrov ,
if case you want to make it automated - consider using the Help Desk Migration service. It's an automated tool for moving customer service data, and it allows you to move the knowledge base (help center data) from Zendesk to Confluence easily. It has a free trial to see if this tool meets your needs.
Talk to support if you have any questions.
