I'd like to have my FAQ in multiple languages.
For example, when someone has a language set to English, for example, you can see only English FAQ articles. However, when they change their language to Chinese, then they'll only be able to see Chinese FAQ pages. The same would go for other languages too.
Also, for the language translations, it'd be nice if there was an automated language converter but where we can modify the language on our own too, in case we feel there is a better way to translate the content.
In summary, could you advise if there is a way to 1) adjust the visibility of articles based upon the language settings and 2)translate such content into various languages and then have the option to modify them?
Hi @Krystle Harsch - there are several apps available for language settings (most of them for servert) depending on your needs. We are handling 8 different languages (but on-prem)
You may have a look on this:
Lango - Language and Translation Manager
Just a quick search in marketplace - but the first one seems interesting for your explanation, but is in beta testing.
For second one you need DeepL.
A workaround without apps is tricky imho. If you find one - I would also be interested for the solution 😊
Thank you for your feedback. What do you think about my question #1?
How can I adjust the visibility of articles based upon the language settings?
So, if I set my computer to Chinese, only the articles written in Chinese would show, etc.?

I know that some apps have this included (speaking of server versions here) - we used Language Macros for Confluence and when you switched your language it automatically showed the page in the right language (if it was translated)
I can imagine that in the mentioned apps this is a out of the box solution anyway. Maybe you should just give it a try and contact the developers. I think they appreciate a good proposal and welcome a suggestion for improvement 😎
