Links not appearing between issues on JIRA import to Confluence Whiteboard

When importing JIRA issues into a Confluence Whiteboard the links do not appear between the issues that are indeed linked in JIRA.

 

Is there a setting somewhere in confluence to show these links?

Not that I have been able to find, but this is much needed. You seem to be able to create issue links between Jira issues from within a Confluence Whiteboard but not show an existing link - I don't get the logic of this!
