Hello,
I'm administrator on our Confluence environment and on a specific space I see no buttons on a placed comment (Reply, Add comment, Resolve etc.).
How is this possible and are there any solutions ?
Thank you for reporting this issue on comments.
I tried changing some permissions for comments specifically and replicating this issue on some test sites, but I haven't been able to see the same behavior you shared.
I understand that you are seeing this issue on a specific space, not the entire site, which is weird, since the permissions doesn't seem to be impacting on this, even if I remove the delete comments, for example.
Just to discard any old cached information issue that might be affecting the interaction on comments in this space, could you let me know if you have this issue on another browser, and if this happens on your current browser, but in incognito/in-private window?
Let us know if that also happens only with your user or other users in the site as well.
Depending on the test results, we will need to check further on your site and collect some additional logs, in case we are unable to replicate it there, but let's see how these initial tests goes. :)
Regards,
Jessica
Hi @Jessica
I was able to test this on Edge and Chrome both 'in-private'. The results were the same as the last time.
Hopefully there will be a solution soon.

Ferry

Thanks for trying this test, @Ferry Portier.
I have raised the support ticket: https://getsupport.atlassian.com/servicedesk/customer/portal/23/JST-1140745 as we will need to give a check on your site to see if there is anything we can find that might be causing it and try to replicate the issue, if that is okay.
Depending on the case, we might request a har file on the support ticket, but we will keep you posted there.

Jessica

Hi @Thomas Gaffney
At first atlassian thought it was due to old version of editor (legacy editor). eventually the dev team released a fix.
So if I were you I would create a ticket with Atlassian and maybe refer to the problem.

Hi @Dan BreyenWhen I hover over the submitter there is nothing to be seen. So I'm still looking for the missing buttons.

Thanks @Ferry Portier I'm wondering if there's some security thing going on. I've requested Support's assistance for this.

Hi @Ferry Portier it looks like you're using the new GUI for Confluence. From my testing if you hover over the comment submitter, you should get the option to Resolve the comment. Was that what you're looking for?
