Just a heads up: On March 24, 2025, starting at 4:30pm CDT / 19:30 UTC, the site will be undergoing scheduled maintenance for a few hours. During this time, the site might be unavailable for a short while. Thanks for your patience.
×What happens if I schedule something to publish and someone else modifies the same page and publishes it? Would it also publish my update, or would it wait until the scheduled date?
@Robin Oswald Schwartz Welcome to the Atlassian Community!
You may want to ask your question in a comment on this page: https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Confluence-articles/A-better-publishing-experience-is-coming-to-you/ba-p/2395090
I will also tag @Lingyang Zhu (poster of that article) here to draw attention to your question.
Thanks for tagging me.
In this specific case, this "someone else" will see that there is a scheduled publish for this page. If they still decide to publish right away, they will need to cancel the scheduled publish first, then manually publish.
The result is, your scheduled change will be published, and the schedule publish is cancelled

I could be wrong, however, from what I understand, multiple users can update and publish live at the same time? Unless, the administrators have set a scheduled date for publishing. That would make the most sense to me. If I am wrong. Someone please correct me. I am new here, so I am just learning all about Confluence and Jira, as well. Thanks and hope this helps. :)
