I am trying to upload a new version of a document - it thinks about it but nothing happens and there is no error message.

Have tried closing Confluence, tried a different document  and still not working!

Help!

Do you have permission to add attachments to pages? If not, it won't be possible to upload the document.

We upload new versions by opening them in the relevant viewer, and then dragging-and-dropping the new version into the opened older version. This always works, especially for PDFs and images.

Sorry to hear that!

Sometimes the reason certain documents can't be uploaded is the page title of the page you're trying to upload it to. This usually happens when I'm trying to place an mp4 video in the Media Player macro - the macro is unable to read the uploaded video if there is a special character in the page title (colon, etc.). Could this apply to your problem as well?

If not, maybe just try publishing the documents as Confluence pages. Confluence tracks versions, so if you create a page containing the document text, publish it, and then copy the newest version into the page, your page history will track which version is which.

We use the K15t Scroll Versions add-on, which is really useful for versioning spaces as well!

Hope this helps!
