Can you make adding users even more difficult?

I've been using JIRA for over a year now and feel comfortable with it. Now your Confulence seems to be a child from another father (or mother).

Why is that when I click on Invite users, I can find them but can't invite them? I see my Jira users but there is no action I can do. And I am Jira / Confluence admin!

Why can't I just allow all Jira users to be Confluence users?

Hi Alexander, thanks for your feedback. We're actually currently reworking the user management admin experience for OnDemand. In particular, the application access and x-app permissioning will be simpler and less convoluted, making it more straight forward to grant access to a single or multiple user/s.

Hi Alexander. Here's a link to our documentation article which details permissions in Confluence. There are also step by step instructions for how to assign permissions to the groups you already have set up in JIRA, so you won't need to invite users or add anyone individually. You should just be able to give the 'jira-users' group 'can use' permissions on the Admin > Global Permissions page, to allow all your JIRA users access to Confluence, but all the detail you need should be in this article.

Oddly, the permissions page in Confluence admin. Where it's reasonably logical to keep it. I'm not sure that there's a better place for it.

There's a good reason this seems complex - it's powerful and flexoble software. That invariably begets complexity of administration. I don't think there's any way to fix that/

I don't think it's logical to make me re-invite users. I want to see my global users and check which ones I want to use Confluence. It's kind of not even their choice to use invitation - they MUST use it.

I amm trying to add a test user and it has options for "Application access" which has JIRA and Confluence. I don't see any related settings for existing users. So freaking aggravating.

Which specific link??? Their navigation is useless to find anything. There is no group or role (except confluence-admin) that has anything to do with Confluence.
