Confluence Insert Macro: What does error mean?: "Please complete the configuration in the preview area first

From Confluence, I edit a page  { to open the macro browser, then I select "activity stream" but the INSERT button is not highlighted until the configuration in preview is completed. What exactly are the steps to configure the preview area?

 

I tried Ctr-Shift-E from the editing page, but I see no configuration option there...

Suggestions appreciated.

Hey Ian,

Did you hit the "save button" before scrolling down smile?

That error usually shows up when you do not click that button, is not very intuitive as I also had the same problem once I got used to it cheeky.

Hi Lavitz,

I have the same problem, for hours at a time. I definitely click the config save button before clicking the Insert button.
