Hello,
I'm exporting content to PDF using confluence.
The layout is not preserved when using "Export to PDF".
Even worse, it cuts every text on the left part of the page.
I was considering using Confluence for my business but I really need this option.
I have seen some people dealing with the same problem in 2016 and 2017.
Is this getting solved?
Thank you!
Hi Teresa,
Had you considered using an app to generate your exports from Confluence? We (K15t) develop Scroll PDF Exporter for Confluence which allows users to fully control how content is styled and formatted from Confluence into a PDF export. This includes being able to preserve the multi-column page layouts that can be defined on a Confluence page. If you're interested you can trial the app for free from the Atlassian Marketplace.
Thanks, Thomas (K15t)
Hello there! The behavior you described is indeed a bug that is currently present in the Cloud Platform.
When exporting content to PDF, text within layouts is cut out of the final PDF. Currently, there is no workaround for this other than refrain from using layouts.
Here we can check both reports that point to this behavior:
The best course of action would be to vote and watch the reports. Voting helps to increase the report visibility and watching it will keep you up to date with everything posted there.
