Creating and automating project pages in Confluence

My coworker wants to create a project page in Confluence that contains all the project info at a glance. He wants an at-a-glance look at what's going on with the project such as timelines, milestones, status, events.
2 Questions:

1. Which app is better suited for this: Jira or Confluence?

2. He would like to do this in Confluence preferably. Is there an app or something that can generate a timeline based on inputs, and potentially add a callout for events, so he could add all my milestones, major events, etc...?

Thank you!

Hi @Angie Elliott ,

You can try Gantt Chart Planner for Confluence to draw timelines easily in Confluence.
You can watch a demo video on YouTube.

And, I introduced other options including Confluence built-in methods and Jira integration in this article.

(Disclaimer: I'm one of the folks in the vendor.)

Hi @Angie Elliott

For this kind of things maybe a Gantt like structure might be more useful. There are plenty of apps which offer a Gantt functionality, and Jira premium comes with a build in Advanced Roadmaps feature.
