When you make a copy of a page that has a draw-io attached, can you then safely delete the draw-io from the new page attachment list? Or will this also delete the draw-io from the original page?
When you copy a page, the system should make an exact copy of the original page and all its attachments at that moment in time. Like a snapshot of the original page at that exact moment
If a page has a draw.io embedded in it, the copy page functionality should also move the pointer to the old attachment to point at the new attachment on the new page.
At that point, the pages should be completely separate content which just happens to look exactly the same.
Deleting the draw-io attachment on one page should have no effect on the other page.
Hi David, I thought that should happen, but because of the number of stakeholders in the original picture, I needed to be absolutely sure! Thank you for your confirmation and reassurance.

Hi,
my suggestion would be to delete both the draw.io macro and the draw.io attachment and this won’t affect the original page (I assume you copied a Confluence page with draw.io diagram via three dots > Copy)
Just for testing purpose, you can create test page with a basic draw.io diagram, copy that test page, delete its draw.io file and draw.io macro and check the original page.
Kind regards,
Marija

Good idea about the testing, I had not thought of that. Will try it also, thank you.
