We are using Confluence OnDemand. I have given view permission to anonymous users yet the pages never show up in Google search results. We have set up two separate OnDemand spaces and it's the same for both. As we are using OnDemand to deliver support documentation to our users we want these pages to be visible to external search engines. Is there a way to do this in OnDemand?
Hi, how long have you had it up for? It may take a while for it to be indexed by Google. Have you tried getting a Google Webmaster account and submitting a sitemap? This might be help.
If it's not listed in Google yet, you may submit to them manually. This might be an SEO problem more than a Confluence problem.
It's hard to say for sure when and if Google will index your pages. External back links may or may not help.
OnDemand is under Atlassian's subdomain, so it would have different SEO characteristics to say your own domain or anything else you're normally used to possibly.
Thanks, one of the sites has been up for 12 months. I have added some external links now and will see if this helps. I'll also look into your other suggestions.

Hi Caren,
Can you also check to make sure you have enabled pulic access for the site:https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/DOC/Setting+Up+Public+Access#SettingUpPublicAccess-Enablinganonymousaccesstothesite

Hello Caren,
I too am trying to resolve same issue for public facing Questions for Confluence in Atlassian Cloud. I wanted to follow up to see if you were successful in making the pages accessible to your user base and if so what steps did you take.
Thanks
Sachin

HI Sahcin, I didn't take any further steps after this post and we eventually moved to self-hosting our Confluence site so I cannot offer any solutions that might help your situation. Good luck, I hope you can find a way to resolve it.
