How can I see all the pages I'm watching?

Maya Eyal April 6, 2015

I keep getting email alerts for pages I'm not interested in. I would like to remove myself as a watcher from these pages. How can I find all of them at once?

thanks.

On your profile there is a section called "Watches". There you can see what spaces and pages you are currently watching.

You may access your profile from the drop down of your user icon on the upper right (I do not know what this button is called smile).

I see no such section here in Answers. Is there a different way to access my "Watches" on answers.atlassian.com?

Hi Maya,

For Confluence Cloud, to see the pages you are being added as watcher:

1) Goto your profile pic on the bottom left side , click on "Settings".

2) Goto tab "Watches", it will list down all the pages & spaces you are watching.

3)  Click on "Stop Watching".

Wow, what a cumbersome and non-obvious way to get there.

2 steps is not cumbersome... non obvious I'm there with you on that one.

How can I set it up so when I go to our Confluence page, the "Watches" link is just part of the top level menus. It used to be there.

Does anyone have updated steps on how to see all of my watched articles? Seems the process has changed since you guys offered the steps. Thanks!

Found it. Add the Watched Issues gadget to your dashboard.

Can anyone explain why 'Watches' is not part of the Home screen sitting along with Recent, Worked On, Drafts & Starred

Seems an obvious grouping to me, why bury it in profile settings ??? That's nuts.

Cannot find where to add the Watched Issues gadget. There is no top menu bar in Settings. So I'm asking the same quastion and hope to find an answer :

How can I see all the pages I'm watching?

Marie-Helene,

If you do not see this menu, I would suggest sending a trouble ticket to Atlassian.

My mistake: I am looking for watched issues in Jira software where there is no top menu in settings. Just noticed that I am in a confluence page.

Hi @Marie-Helene Lavoie ,

Please notice that this thread is about how to see all the pages you are watching in Confluence, while the watched issues gadget is a Jira gadget (to be added to your personal dashboard in Jira).

Then, please also keep in mind that adding a new question to a thread from 2015 already marked as answered/solved is not advised.

Once this has been said:

  • If you want to see the watched content in Confluence, then as already mentioned in this thread you have to: click on your user avatar icon (bottom left) -> Settings -> Watches

    Confluence-settings.jpg
  • If you want to add the watched issues gadget to your dashboard in Jira: click on Dashboards -> in the ... menu (top right) choose Edit Dashboard -> click on Add Gadget -> Search for the watched issues gadget and add it to the dashboard.

I hope this clarifies.

Cheers,
Dario

Hi @Marie-Helene Lavoie ,

for Server instances, we have released a plugin that can do exactly what you are looking for: cancel the watches on pages without having to do that one by one. You can check it out here: https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1212399/simply-watches?hosting=server&tab=overview
