In a confluence calendar event, how do I redirect users to update a particular webpage through a URL? The events are created by integrating Jira with confluence calendar but we do not want the users to navigate to Jira or open the issue to get the URL.
I have an answer, though the UI is a bit confusing. My team manages both Confluence Cloud and Data Center sites. I see the following behavior:
1) Data Center - you can just paste an external URL like https://www.atlassian.com/ in the Related Page field and it becomes a clickable link when viewing the event.
2) Cloud - If I use that same field, I'm prompted to create a Confluence page called "https://www.atlassian.com/". If I accept, it actually works like #1 above (link to external site; does not really create a Confluence page).
Hope that helps! We use it to link to ServiceNow change requests, for example.
Hi @Ansar and welcome to the community,
Team calendar, if not mistaken, allow you only to set dates and a summary/subject.
