Just a heads up: On March 24, 2025, starting at 4:30pm CDT / 21:30 UTC, the site will be undergoing scheduled maintenance for a few hours. During this time, the site might be unavailable for a short while. Thanks for your patience.
×I have added the TOC macro but I can't get it to showcase the details on the page that I would like it to connect to.
How do I set this thing up properly? I have tried and added the TOC but when I load preview, the page is blank.
Do I need to follow a different step to set up parameters?
Hi tcameron@vistaprint.com welcome to this wonderful community
what I understood from what you've written you wanna link to something or as you've written it 'connect'. Did I get you right that you wanna connect to a headline of another site not to something on the similar page?
TOC only shows all headlines on the similar page you use it - what maybe work for you is link to another page as explained here
Navigate to the page (where you wanna link to) and scroll down to the heading.
Hover over the heading to reveal the link icon to the left of the heading.
Click the link icon to copy the link.
Navigate to and edit the page where you want to link to the heading.
Paste the URL in the link tool pop-up, and give it a more friendly name if desired.
Please feel free to explain your problem or ask further questions if I got you wrong.
@Fabienne Gerhard : I want to do a TOC within a page so that it connects/links to the various headings/topics/sections within that same page.
In essence, I have a page that has 3 different headings. What I want to do is to have the TOC at the top of the page that shows the 3 headings. That way, the readers can click on any of the headings and be taken to that particular topic/area within the page.

Hi tcameron@vistaprint.com ok so I got your first question wrong.
Which heading styles did you use for your three different headings and which minimum and maximum heading level in settings do you have?
Maybe you can give us a screenshot of the settings 😊

Are you using Headings properly? It seems to me that you have everything written in paragraphs, so the TOC macro can't get any input.
