Hi all,
so I need to mirror a quite complex page tree with content from one space to another. Right now I have to create the page tree again maunally, then copy each headline and include each coresponding page indivudally.
Is there an easier way to mirror the content from one space to another without actually copying it?
Thank you in advance.
Have you tried using the Copy feature to copy the contents of one Space to another? You can do the entire contents by clicking the ellipsis from the landing page (in the Editor) and selecting Copy. Or you can copy sections (like if you have a specific page tree section).
Move, copy, and hide content items | Confluence Cloud | Atlassian Support
In the next window, you can select the space where you want the copy to go to and select the parent topic. There's a checkbox to include the child topics.
Thank your for great explanation and detailed response. The thing is that my task is to include the pages. Is there a way to include multiple pages but instead of copying them they're just included in the other space?

Hi @Hendrik Knöll and welcome to the Community.
I recommend looking at the Comala Publishing or Space Sync for Confluence.
What these apps do is they ... well, synchronize pages/trees between the spaces. This is a much better way than copying pages or using inclusions.
So you have one primary space where you edit etc. and one target space into which you push updated content.
The difference between the two apps is that while Comala Publishing can only sync one-way between two spaces in a single Confluence site, Space Sync can sync space between multiple spaces across multiple sites and can be configured to sync pages bi-directionally. Also, Space sync can be triggered by Confluence page status.
I use both apps in a different capacity.
The basic idea is the same - once you're happy with the content, you sync the page.
For initial 'copy', you can sync the entire space (or a portion of it with Space Sync).
Important - when you bulk sync the entire space, the links between the pages are 'converted'. Links between the pages in your primary space are converted to links between the pages in your target space.

Thank you for your detailed response and explanation. SpaceSync for Confluence sounds like a good solution for my usecase. I'm going to try and see if it truly is the solution. I have one follow up question. Is it possible to bulk include multiple pages (like the "/include page" function or will it always just copy the entire page content?

Space Sync is page-based but you have a couple of options.
Now, you cannot sync just a portion of the page. But I guess you can devise a scheme of using excerpts and insert excerpts (possible page include) to construct content of a page that will be eventually synced.
(Your use-case could be addressed by conditional content app (Variants for Scroll Documents) but the solution would be a) over the top for you, b) not really matching your use-case - based on my knowledge)

One more thing... if you go the way of having a Confluence Status triggering the sync, you can use Pages Manager (same vendor as Space Sync, Ricksoft) to edit the statuses of selected pages - and basically sync those selected pages in one go.
(Pages manager is free and it also displays the Sync status for individual pages).

Thank you fr your detailed feedback. This option seems to work for me. I'm gonna give it a try!
