When working in big projects with multiple pages an multiple Layers (Sub-pages) the navigation within Confluence can get tricky. Ist there an option to activate an automated Numbering for the Pages or chapters of a confluence project?
@Florian Finkelmann you can automatically number pages with our app Numbered Headings, it even updates when you update a page (re-publish) which not all such apps do. But it only works at the page level currently, I don't think any app on the marketplace works beyond the page level.
I would like to learn more as we are working on updates to cover more use cases: stavros@easyapps.app.

AFAIK there is no numbering of the pages itself. I have navigated the similar issue by creating a macro to include child pages to the parent page. Hope this helps.
Thanks

You can consider other options for automated numbered headings:
- Numbered Headings for Confluence: If you need the numbered heading feature only
- Mosaic for Confluence: It can work better for you if you are interested in getting other advanced formatting features like tabs, tooltips, buttons, banners, LaTeX, expand/collapse sections, etc.
If you have any questions, let me know, Mosaic was created by my team
