Scenario:

1. I am writing in Confluence a meeting note.

2. While I am writing I want to use a shortcut like // or @ to create a Jira entry (like an epic or stroy) for a requirement or task that I am specifying in Confluence.

3. Goal: Link-While-You-Write functionality:

Document in confluence and assign epics or stories in Jira to entries made in Confluence.

If such a functionality does not exist, how do you generate Jira entries from Confluence entries?

I don't want to work in Jira and then link to Confluence...much to complicated to back-trace the requirements I once wrote...

Thank you for any suggestion!

I don’t know of any addon providing the suggested function, however, what could work for you:

Create a table, one column should to, and  add a row per Jira issue you want to create, just write down the issue title in every row. Save the page. Mark the text in the first row. Move the mouse pointer over the marked text, the inline comment & Jira logo should pop up just above the  marked text. Select the Jira icon. You can now select the project & issue type, and select to create an issue from every table row...
