Missing "what did you change?" when editing Confluence page

I am editing a page in "procomconsulting.atlassian.net" and do not see this. Using the new Confluence user experience in Confluence Cloud. 

I can see this "what did I change" at bottom of page when editing "provenprogrammanagement.atlassian.net".  Not using the new Confluence user experience.

I think it suck big time that they took this feature out. Just like Rafael says. you need it for quality management. I can now not even get ISO certified

Thanks for all the feedback on this ticket. Given the amount of requests we've started to explore what a potential quick win may look like to re-introduce this. That being said, we still can't guarantee a time frame for this - we will make sure to update this ticket as we know more on our end.

In the meantime, if you have the legacy template available - which most of you should have - you can keep using that to create new pages and still keep using this feature. If you don't have that template, you can reach out to support and we'll be happy to enable it for you.

There's a sort of workaround for this...

Create a word doc (no specific details needed), import it to confluence - through the admin panel (not to confuse with the word inline doc editing and the likes)

Frequently, confluence word doc importing feature makes the newly created page to be presented old style meaning that this new edit UI doens't show.

You'll find the "What did you change" and notofy watchers fields close to publish at the bottom of this newly created page.

Then you just need to copy/paste from the page where you wanted to keep track of changes.

(They shouldn't have deprecated this feature; it makes all the difference for, for instance, Quality Management where you need to point a reason for document change...)

Atlassian say they have removed this feature because:

"it had almost no usage, but added significant visual clutter and complexity to Confluence. Instead of using change comments, you can see the difference between published versions of a page in the page history."

Same for us, we do not use the new editor because it's a regression with all the features that have been removed but we use the "what did you change" box a lot to know what others did quickly rather than asking them or opening the page and comparing the current version with the previous version (this is waste of time). We need this back asap.

You could try adding the Page Properties Macro to a page and select the 'hidden' option, so it doesn't appear when the page is viewed - then save your comment there. I realise this isn't ideal, but it would at least give you a space to record versioning comments.

Good recommendation.  Thanks.  But still frustrated this feature was removed or the user is unable to turn it back on.
