Powerpoint into Confluence issues

Hi,

I understand that the ppt macro should not be used anymore. Two questions :

1. Is it ppossible to display directly a specific page of a powerpoint without the ppt macro ?

2. The quality of my dispaly is very bad even with simple pages. Any way to improve that ?

1.  Do you need it to be in ppt-format? If not you can add a screenshot from the ppt as a picture in Confluence.
2. Is this only related to Atlassian products or specific macros or is it a general browser problem? What kind of web browser are you using?

1. I wanted to keep the ppt in order to be able to update it on a regular basis without having to redo many screenshots

2. Seems only to Atlassian. The images within the Powerpoint macro are blurred. I'm using Google Chrome

Hi @Eric Wander , welcome to the Atlassian Community and thanks for your question.

To me, it is also not clear the situation on the Office Macros.

Here, https://support.atlassian.com/confluence-cloud/docs/what-are-macros/ , the Office Macros of PowerPoint and Word are indicated and there is an explanation for how use them.

However, here, https://support.atlassian.com/confluence-cloud/docs/learn-which-macros-are-being-removed/ , PowerPoint and Word are in the list to be discontinued. There is also a proposed workaround but I have understood you would ideally like to pin a certain slide, let's say, from a PowerPoint, not just show the file / the whole deck. Is that what you meant?

Then, for your other question, I am not sure I have understood.

I have written a comment in the first page, asking about the status of the Office macros. If someone replies to me, I will share that information with you.

yes not fully clear indeed.

Yes on powerpoint I meant pinning a specific slide and having the slide automatically updated when the file is updated as well.

On the other question, I have a significant loss of the quality of my slide when using the macro. Not only disalgnement issues but the image is really blurred.

Any support is more than welcome

When we talk about the Office Powerpoint macro in Cloud, I do confirm that indeed, the Slides parameter is not available and we have the following suggestion gathering interest for it:

• Powerpoint macro - ability to present specific slide in presentation

You can add yourself as a watcher, And leave a comment on the feature request which also brings an internal request to have the product managers aware of it, bringing more visibility to the needs of this feature.
