Hi,
I have two accounts for a confluence site. With one of these I am a site-admins and organisation administrator. With the other I am
Yet, there are a number of pages on a specific space that neither of these users can access. I have already given both users checkmarks on all categories on the ../wiki/spaces/spacepermissions.action page.
So when go to ../wiki/pages/listpermissionpages.action I see a number of pages that I cannot access, delete, change or even view -- let alone change the permissions. These pages have between two and four users listed as "permitted". Some pages juts have "view" permissions listed, some have "view" and "edit".
What I am doing wrong?
Thanks,
Niels
I think i may know what is happening. When you are in the confluence admin settings and goto Space Permissions do you see "Recover Permissions" next to these spaces you are mentioning?
In the past i remember even as an org admin i couldnt get into certain spaces due to the permissions. Everyone who could has long been gone. So while you cant just open the page, once you recover the permissions you will be able to. And from there set them as you wish, (example: include site admins)
Hope this helps
Thanks Brent.
I do NOT see "recover permissions". I do see "manage permissions". And when I click that, I get get to the space's permission page. The same is true if I do this from the "org admin" user or my normal one.
Thanks again!
Niels

So were you able to manage permissions on the spaces in question? Did this solve your problem or do we need to find another solution?
Thanks
Brent

So i went back and re-read your original question. Im sorry i was answering based on a WHOLE space being restricted. Can you confirm that in the Space Settings>Permissions that you or a group you are in is an admin for the space? I believe if you dont have the Restrictions even as a site admin you will not be able to access these restricted pages.
See also this article and the linked article at the bottom of it detailing page restrictions:

First of all: thanks, Brent for your help. This is really appreciated!
To your question: yes, I have "full control" over the space. When I look at Individual Users I can see a green check mark under each heading. Admins and Site-Admins are also listed under Groups with all headings green.
I had a look at the article and, I am afraid it did not help either.
I have fond a solution, though. I have upgraded to the premium tier which allows me to access, as an admin, all pages (even restricted ones). So I can now delete them -- and fall back to the standard tier once I am done...
Thanks again, for your help.

Well i am glad that you were able to get it worked out! Sorry you had to use a premium trial to do it though.
