Hello,
We have confluence cloud. I am an adminstrator.
How can I change the email adres of a user?
Is see in some blogs that I can do this via edit profile & change credentials.
But how can I get to edit profile?
Best regards,
Peter
Hi Peter,
Since Atlassian account was introduced in 2017, administrators can no longer change users' email. Now, only the user can change their own email on id.atlassian.com.
With the new site administration UI, you can suggest changes, but it's up to the user to change the email or not.
A workaround for that would be a domain verification, so the organization admin will be able to change the emails.
You can find more details on the documentation below:
- Set up an Atlassian organization
- Verify a domain for your organization
Regards,
Angélica
Hi Angélica,
Thank you for your prompt feedback.
I have asked the user to use the link provided in your email.
Unfortunately the user cannot change his email address via this link.
The user gets following message :
Managed account
Your account is managed
Contact your administrator to change your email address.
Best regards,
Peter

Thank you for the information.
I was able to see that this domain has been claimed, so the organization admin can change the email. You can go to admin.atlassian.com and select the organization. Then click on Directory > Managed accounts.
On this page, you can select Arne's account and change the email.
If you can't access the page, you must check with other site-admins if they have access to change or for them to grant you access.

Hi Angélica,
This worked just fine.
Thank you very much for the support.
Have a nice weekend!
Peter
