Hi is it possible to copy a full instance of Jira to another Jira account?

We have split into two companies and wanting to have a copy of all projects on either side so we dont lose anything in the separation?

I hope you are doing well!!

There are two methods to move or transfer product to another organization.

1. You can transfer Jira product to another organizations. (Please create support ticket with Atlassian and check with them)

2. Create new Jira site and create cloud backup and restore it to the new site. (Personally recommended)

Thank you for reply, Am i right in saying you can only back up 1000 issues? We have 40 projects in one instance? Within these projects there are 100s of issues in each?

Hello Neil.

You don't have to export the issue, but you can directly generate backup for entire site.

Please follow the above link to generate the backup and restore it to another site. 

Note: You need to be in System-Administator group inorder to generate backup.
