Hi,
We found out that the Source Editor Pro will retire in 2 weeks.
I was wondering if other alternative free plugins have the search and replace feature for the Confluence source code that you can recommend.
We are going to miss the Srouce Editor Pro. It is such a simple useful working tool.
Thank you.
Kent
We have a bulk find and replace but it doesn't deal with source code (see Space Content Manager).
Could you tell me a bit more about the use case or reach out to our support. Something would consider building.
Thank you Stavros for your reponse.
Our use case is to globally search a text and replace all the occurrences on a page with a specific JIRA issue number.
We use a template to create a new release page. Since each release page has different content based on the FixVersion, we use a text/label as a placeholder in the template. Once a page has been created, we replace that text/label with the actual FixVersion.
I hope that helps.
Thanks,
Kent

@Kent Chiu thank you for the greater details. I'll discuss it with the team, needless to say this doesn't help you in the short term.

Hi @Kent Chiu
In the email I got from Seibert, they recommend using Storage Format Editor by K15t (their Labs). It's also free.
I have no personal experience so you'll have to give it try / explore it yourself, but it says:

Thank you @Kristian Klima for replying to my inquiry.
I have tried using Storage Format Editor by K15t (their Labs). However, the Search and Replace feature does not work correctly. Somehow, it alters the page content and changes the page format.
I think there is a bug in the app. The Search & Replace feature introduces a side effect on the page formatting.
Thanks,
Kent

Hey @Kent Chiu
here's Matthias from K15t. Do you have a reproducable test case how our app breaks the formatting. It would be great if you submit a bug report via our support.
While we don't commit to SLAs for our Labs account, we still support these apps on a best-effort basis. If we know the details of your use case, we might be able to fix it.
Cheers,
Matthias.

Thank you for your response. I have submitted a bug report KS-32578. Let me know if there is anything else I can help.

Kent
