We have a page with a roadmap planner on it that had been working just fine but just started displaying this error instead of the roadmap:
Error rendering macro 'roadmap' : java.io.IOException: Invalid character
I see this same error if I view earlier versions of the page. Nothing seems amiss when I edit the page, and publishing a change doesn't seem to help.
One piece of information: there are emoji in the roadmap bar titles. Still, this has apparently been working fine, but I thought I'd point that out.
It seems like something must have changed with the macro. Has anyone else seen this?
Hi Kevin,
There was a bug lately with the Roadmap Planner Macro, which was fixed 3 days ago. As a result, there's a user commenting on the fixed bug:
I researched this a bit, and it appears that he and other users were having this issue when including emojis in page titles.
Can you let me know if you have any emojis on the pages involved with the Roadmap Planner Macro?
Regards,
Shannon
Hi Shannon,
Thanks for the response and pointer to that issue. It does indeed look like the problem I'm seeing is the emoji-related bug introduced by that change.
Someone has filed a bug on this problem now, I see: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONFCLOUD-65865
