Error uploading attachment using /wiki/rest/api/content/{id}/child/attachment

I'm getting error response below:

{"statusCode":500,"message":"com.atlassian.confluence.pages.persistence.dao.filesystem.AttachmentDataFileSystemException: Cannot save attachment data for attachment 239XXXX191 into Media because Failure{cause=null, reason=BAD_STATUS, retryAfter=null, message='', httpStatusCode=404}"}

The file (a JPG image) is actually appearing in the UI, along with correct kb size reported, but the actual file can not be opened or previewed? This API has been working for me in the past on thousands of image files, but I haven't used the API in a few months. Has anything changed? It's one of the old API's so I suspect not: and it doesn't say it's been deprecated yet?

Looking at status.atlassian.com, there was an incident that should now be resolved.

Thanks yeah no incidents at time of writing but can confirm issue is now resolved: able to upload via API again :)
