There is a function for that, or am I getting something wrong here.

It´s the magnifying glass in the upper right corner (edit mode).

@Chris , you are absolutely correct! I had not noticed that before. TBH I can't recall the last time I used this in edit mode. Maybe it changed since I last looked, unsure. Regardless, great to know.

OOTB there is not a solution for this. You could certainly perform a find (CMD+F/CTRL+F) and then paste the new text. However for a Find & Replace operation you would need to check the Marketplace.
