How make Confluence PDF exporter remember the pages/grouping pages to publish as pdf

Hi,

Is there a way to make the Confluence PDF exporter (Space tools>content tolls>export>pdf>custom export) remember a group of pages to be published at a single click? instead of selecting the pages every time.

Note: I have used Include Page and Include Version macro to link all the pages I need to publish a sa book into one single page and export in one click, but the hyperlinks among them don't navigate within the pdf and direct to Confluence. Which I need to work within the pdf.

Any suggestions, please.

Thank you

Hi @Meera.Amanullah

From the top of my head, there are two options and both involve labels.

Option 1

A marketplace app such as Scroll PDF Exporter which allows you to narrow down the export to pages with specific labels. Collateral benefit is that the exports in the app are much more customizable, and look way better compared to the stock PDF exporter.

Option 2

This was suggested at the Write the Docs Slack recently. Essentially, write a similar app  yourself - use API and/or download HTML / XML, run some sort of script to convert the pages with specific labels to PDF.

Hi @Kristian Klima ,

Thanks for the reply.

I have the Scroll PDF Exporter app and it works as you mentioned.

The downside is that there are options like creating a pdf from a new page tree, and when we follow the steps, the hyperlinks inside the pdf direct to Confluence instead of within the pdf. I have raised a question with the plugin vendor regarding the same.

Thank you
