How to troubleshoot when using Confiforms IFTTT Macro with SendEmail is not functioning

I've followed all the steps to create a form to send an e-mail using the IFTTT Macro (as instructed from this site: https://wiki.vertuna.com/display/CONFIFORMS/Creating+embedded+form+with+ConfiForms+to+send+emails+directly+from+Confluence)

and the form I created looks great - but no e-mail is received by the recipient.  Being new to Confiforms, and Confluence in general, I'd like to know how one goes about trouble shooting this kind of problem.

The IFTTT macro should be inside the body of your form definition.

ConfiForms IFTTT Integration Rules macros are part of ConfiForms Form Definition macro, part of form's configuration.

You need to have these macros INSIDE the ConfiForms Form Definition macro as Davin says.

Thanks for confirming, Alex,  and as you may be able to see, I used the example from the Vertuna site after completing the basic tutorial and then finding the IFTTT tutorial and example given there.  I believe I have moved the IFTTT Macro inside the Forms Definition macro as shown in the screen shots below, however this has not solved my problem.  Could it be my level of authority, or perhaps we are using the Cloud version here and this only works with the Server/Data Center environment?

The is a specific tutorial for ConfiForms Cloud, at https://wiki.vertuna.com/display/FORMS/How+to+create+a+form+to+send+emails

However, in this particular case the tutorials for server/data center are pretty much identical to the ones in cloud.

What doe snot work for you? We can troubleshoot this via support channel, if you want -  just open the ticket at https://wiki.vertuna.com/display/VERTUNA/Support+Request+Form

Thanks for this information, and the link you sent looks very similar to a tutorial I've seen on the vertuna site, called Creating embedded form with ConfiForms to send emails directly from Confluence.  I will look at the site you sent and if I still have some issues I'll open a ticket - thanks!

I've run into another problem, this time adding an IFTTT Macro to create a Jira ticket. I'm getting this message, which is folllowed by the code I'm using.  The IFTTT macro for the e-mail is working just fine, sending the e-mails as expected.  Any ideas?

Well, take a look at the tutorials on https://wiki.vertuna.com/display/FORMS/How+to+create+a+form+to+create+a+Jira+issue+from+Confluence

Your mapping for Jira shall be inside the "code" or "no format" macro as is shown, so it doe snot include any "invisible elements" that might be there when you place the mapping as-is inside the macro body

Thanks, Alex - that was the solution.  The code I was basing my code on from another developer here did not show the 'No Form' identifier for the Macro, and I didn't catch that this macro was inside the IFTTT macro. The example you linked to did show 'No Forms' in the embedded macro
