Is MySQL database still a free database to use with JIRA & Confluence latest version.

Hello Team,

Could some one please let me know, if MySQL database is still a free database to use with JIRA & Confluence latest version. 

As some people say post Oracle has purchased MySQL, they provide community version/s of MySQL for standalone applications only.

 

Could some one please explain on this.
