I saved the work last night now my recent changes for the past week are missing. How do I retrieve my work.
Urguent need to report this issue to my boss later to day on the status, I really hate to let them know all my hard work for the past week is gone..
In dire straits,
Thanks,
Karen
Thanks for the quick response. I opened my file to continue to add more info to the document and all the work I did last week is gone. I poked around and I was unable to locate the latest data I inputted and saved last night. How do I retrieve my changes from last week's work?
Thanks
Ok, we need to know exactly what is missing?
I don't mean things like the actual content (if you knew that, you'd be able to recreate it worst case), but is it a huge page, a set of pages, a load of attachments, an entire space?
Also, how have you lost it? Were you editing a page, clicked save and got an error and lost it all? Or did you wander off to make tea and come back to a blank page? Did you finish a load of pages this morning, had lunch and came back to find all the pages have disappeared?
There's lots more examples, but we could really use a 2-3 line story about how the loss happened and what was lost?
Before you start on that though, could you quickly check with your admins (space and system) that they haven't been messing with permissions, and see if there is anything in the "trash" for the space?

it was a huge table of data, in the Products Requirement document.

Ok, you say "document", but we need to know what that is in "confluence speak" - an attachment? A whole page? A space? Part of a page?

There should be.
Confluence has an "auto save" that runs every few minutes. This only saves page type objects (pages, blogs and a couple of other things, but not attachments or images being created by drawing apps for example), but it means that there is a "draft" of your page you can revert to in most cases.
I'm not sure quite how you lost this page, whether you were editing and the updates vanished, or it was new and the save never happened so there's no new page there, but the next few things to look at are:
Space tools -> content -> trash (to see if your draft has been killed off)
Archived pages (at the bottom of the left panel)
Top menu -> Recent -> drafts

Thanks for the response and assistance, Unfortunately I am still unable to find my needed documents.
thanks,
Karen
