Possible to view Jira filter results in Confluence w/out having Jira access?

We have a global partner that we develop a product for. Currently we do not grant them access to Jira, but we have granted them access to Confluence so that we can collaborate on requirements and other elements of the product.

We attempted to provide them with a dynamic view of the prioritized product backlog by mimicking a Jira dashboard in Confluence using various Jira filter macros (external content). It works just fine internally. But when our external partners log into Confluence to view the backlog, none of the filters show any results.

I assume this is because they do not have Jira access. Is that correct? And if so, can anyone suggest any other options for sharing the backlog externally?

Else, I'll simply go back to our leadership and see if we're comfortable opening up our kimono and just give them access to Jira, as well.

Hello @Brad Lackey 

That is correct, that will need to provide your external partners with Jira accounts and permission to view contents in the contained in each of those Jira filters.  If you want a workaround, Confluence will allow you to run reports so they can see a snapshot of the work your internal team is working on but this approach can be quite limited.
