Hello,
I have a free Confluence plan and I didn't log into it before it was deactivated.
I'm trying to set up a new Confluence free subscription with the same site name, but it's saying it exists. It's been almost 4 months since the other was deactivated.
Any ideas why I can't reuse the site name?
Also, I don't mind not getting my data back.
Thanks,
-Dusty
Hi @Dusty
Welcome to our Community.
I suggest you change the old site name and then reuse that name for the new site because the site name is unique in all Atlassian Platform.
Hope it helps you & Thanks,

Hi @YY Brother
Thank you for the quick response!
Unfortunately, I can't rename the old one because it doesn't exist anymore. Both my Jira and Confluence subscriptions deactivated due to inactivity in December. I can't find them anywhere within the org admin area.
I can still login to admin.atlassian.com, but there are no products available.
Maybe I'm missing something?
Thanks,
-Dusty

Could you access this? If not, you may need to create a Support Ticket to Atlassian to release that old name and in the meanwhile, you could use a similar name to proceed your business. After the old name is available, you have the chance to change it to the old name.

I don't see that section. I'm in the proper org, which is the only org I've created with my gmail account. I'm unsure on how to create a ticket with a free account. It only points me to the community. Thank you for your insight.
