Restrict Page Versions to veiw from Guest Users

Dheeraj Gupta June 10, 2018

We are using Confluence Cloud to host our customer documentation. We have enabled Guest View on one space so that anyone can view that.

However, I am facing issues (due to agile methodology) with ongoing updates on the same page of the documentation for the newer version of our product, which is not yet released to our customers.

If I apply Page Restrictions it hides the entire page from the Guests. Is there any way that I can freeze a particular version of the confluence page for the Guest view. While the newer or all other versions of the page are visible to the authentic users of my confluence cloud.

For example, we have released our product version 1.0.2 to our customers and its documentation is available of confluence page say "My Product Documentation" and its current version is v.3.
Now, we have started working on newer version of the product, say 1.1.0. It has some new features, and therefore, I need to update my confluence page "My Product Documentation". I have to publish the page so that the users of my confluence cloud can view the updated information and can provide comments after the review. However, as soon as I publish the page it creates the new version v.4 of the confluence page "My Product Documentation" and make it visible to the guest users too i.e our customers before actually releasing our product to them.

I am looking for an option to Freeze the particular version of the confluence page, in the above case v.3, for guest viewers; no matter how many version are created internally for the same page. While releasing our newer product version we can accordingly publish or freeze the newer version of the confluence page to guest viewers.

Hello,

Kindly have a look at the Comala Workflow plugin.

https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/142/comala-workflows?hosting=server&tab=overview

It will let you make a  very flexible publishing process. You can have, for example, the Draft status of a page, which would be visible only to certain users, and then you could publish the page and everyone would see your page,

I gone through the documentation but need to try this plugin. However, I am not sure that it would meet my requirements.

This Tool is not available for Cloud Hosting. :(
