When I select a "Shortcut", content is rendered in the right-hand panel, but the left-hand vertical navigation panel is not revised. My expectation is that the left panel would change away from the list of Shortcuts, to reflect focus on the target page, and that child pages are enumerated beneath the target page. Is this functionality supported/available via something similar to a Shortcut?
Hi @Henry Kosiba ,
If I understand it correctly, you're using space shortcuts. Do these shortcuts reference pages in the same space, other space, or some other web location? I've just checked, and whenever you click on the shortcut, the destination page will open and will be highlighted (and child pages will expand), the same as you'd directly click on it in the page tree.
As for this:
...and that child pages are enumerated beneath the target page...
are you expecting that the page will be numerated automatically (page title to contain numeration) and for that to be visible in the page tree?
Cheers,
Tobi
Hi Tobi, thank you for your quick response.
What you show/describe is what I'd like to have happen, including the display of the page tree (which I imperfectly described).
I forgot to mention that this happens in both Edge and Chrome browsers.
I believe I'm using Space shortcuts; regardless, all reference pages in the same Space.
I experience the same behavior with both existing/old Shortcuts (blue box icons) and newly-created Shortcuts (which appear as Smart Links).
Regards,
Henry

I've just checked the part about numeration - there doesn't seem to be open suggestion for that.
I would probably suggest reaching out to Atlassian Support and discussing this with them. They could probably check JAC (suggestions) and maybe create a new feature request based on your requirement.
As for this referencing/focus part - I'm not sure I follow. Are you saying the behavior I presented is not working for you? Have you maybe tried using incognito or different browsers to see if the 'issue' appears there as well?
As said, this should work as displayed in the screenshot.
One note is that within this month, you'll probably start using new UI as they are rolling it out to everybody. You might additionally want to check if the issue persists on new navigation as well (once it's rolled out to your site).

Hi Tobi,
Apologies for my delay in responding - your e-mail was trapped in my Spam folder. I appreciate your attentiveness to this issue.
I discussed with Atlassian Tech Support. After having better-articulated my issue to them (and as they saw the behavior over a screen share), they created this ticket for the issue: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONFCLOUD-79881
Best Regards,
Jay
