Using the "/confluence search <text>" command, pages that are restricted from "everyone" viewing or editing are still visible.
Can I get confluence search in slack to only show results that are viewable to "Everyone"?
Hello there Emily!
It seems that you are using Obie, is that correct? If this is the case, it is expected that those results are given to the user. However, it is stated that:
If I connect an integration, like Google Drive, does everyone on my team have access to all the files?
The Obie.ai team has taken great care to ensure that users are unable to escalate their permissions on the dashboard, or any third-party platform, by interacting with Obie. He may bring back search results that not everyone on your team can access, but the third-party will verify whether that person has access to the document beyond the title. The third party will often prompt to "request access to the document" if the user does not have permission. You can learn more about how we ensure the security of your data while in our care here.
This excerpt comes directly from Obie FAQ:
Could you let us know a little bit more about this Slack+Confluence integration:
1- Is it achieved by using Obie?
2- How did you integrate Confluence and Slack?3- How is this search sent over to Confluence?
1. No, I'm using the Confluence Cloud app.
2. Through the Slack app directory
3. I don't know :D
