Hello there,
We have a Cloud Confuence and have accidentally deleted the below page...
Would like to recover this page from trash, but there does not seem to be such option in our version of Confluence. That is even though I see these instructions here...
https://support.atlassian.com/confluence-cloud/docs/delete-restore-or-purge-a-page/
To restore a deleted item:
Select Space settings from the sidebar.
Select Trash from the Manage pages card.
Select Restore for the page you wish to restore.
If a new item has already been created in that space with the same name as the item you're restoring, you'll be given an option to rename the item before it's restored.
So can you please advise how to find the 'trash' option noted above and/or how to restore the deleted page?
Thanks,
David
Here's what I see in space settings Alex. I have 'manage content' option here (not manage pages as noted in the link/instructions provided earlier)...
And digging a bit more, I thought that I would be one of the admin here (as I have hightest/Org admin permissions), but I don't see any users listed here!! Could be the cause of the problem. So how would I give myself permissions to update the user/admin list here?
Thanks,
David
Yeah, you not being a space admin is most likely going to be your restoration problem.
Since you can't see the space permissions, you may have to click on the gear (top right corner) -> Security on the left side -> Space permissions. Make sure you are in a group that has the final permission enabled. The last permission in that list is the space administrator. If you have premium Confluence, you may be able to scroll down a little and recover space permissions and add yourself that way.

Thank you so much for your help / guidance Alex. Have added myself back into the space permissions and now I see the Trash option under the Space settings of this project. And I see the missing page in there.
Problem solved!!
Thanks again,
David

@David Mocnay I just reproduced this using my FREE Confluence and the instructions work.
Any way you can provide screenshots of what you see when try to go through the steps?

As an aside, if you really can't get this to work, you may want to consider a 3rd party tool like this: https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1233056/revyz-data-manager-for-confluence?hosting=cloud&tab=overview

@David Mocnay A new question for you, are you the Space Admin?
