why Content ID digits in the URL

In 9.2.3 the Confluence pages have their Content ID digits in the URL. why is it so and how to have the URL to the older format?

This question is tagged as CLOUD, but question states for 9.2.3 DC - are you asking about DC?

Unfortunately, as of 9.2.x, there is no native configuration to revert to the old-style URLs with slugs. This is a deliberate Atlassian product decision and currently affects:

  • Confluence Data Center (from version 9.2 onwards)

  • Confluence Cloud already uses similar ID-based URLs
