Reorder pages in a tree view

Allison Bloodworth July 6, 2018

I don't want to use the "Move" function, I want to drag & drop from the tree view. In the past Confluence always had a way to do this (I've used it for over 10 years!) but I absolutely can't find it anywhere.

For us at least (v6.3.1), the version number is at the bottom of every page.  We can also reorder pages via the "View in Heirarchy" option (click on ellipses next to the word "Share" in upper right).

It's curious that you're an admin but don't have Space Tools, but might be something different w/your version.  Sounds like you're an admin for your space only vs Admin of the entire site; I'd check with your main admin person, might be able to resolve.

I'm an Admin, but I don't have Space tools. This looks different than any version of Confluence I've ever used (and I've used it for over 10 years), and I can't even find the version #.

I finally found reorder pages myself, it's under Space Settings  in the left nav -> Content tools tab -> Reorder Pages tab. Anyone have any idea what version this is, or how to figure that out?

Go to the space and choose Space tools > Reorder pages from the bottom of the sidebar

Expand the branches to locate the page you want to move.

Drag and drop the page to a new position in the tree.
