try to leverage confluence automate to send request to call lambda and do some automation work, but due to the security issue, i coudn't set the API gateway without auth, so i choose Authorization is AWS_IAM. but seems confluence web request don't support AWS signature?
Hi @yizhanga_amazon_com ,
Have you checked the following official resources:
Now, I've never used this so I cannot say much. I've chatted with support about this and got the following answer:
Currently, Confluence Automation's web request action does not support AWS_IAM authorization or AWS Signature (SigV4) signing for API Gateway endpoints. This means you cannot directly call an AWS API Gateway endpoint that requires AWS_IAM authentication from Confluence Automation, as it cannot generate the required AWS signature for the request...
But it might be worth checking the provided links together with AWS official docs for IAM roles to confirm it. 👀
Cheers,
Tobi
https://support.atlassian.com/cloud-automation/docs/use-jira-automation-with-aws/ seems JIRA support to create AWS action, why Confluence not? do we have plan to support AWS_IAM authorization?

@yizhanga_amazon_com here's an open feature suggestion for it: CONFCLOUD-79786: Integration of AWS SNS with Confluence Automation
I'd recommend dropping a vote and setting yourself as a watcher. 👀
