In the last 2 days, I've started getting THIS on pages that I did a Copy Page Tree on:

This content cannot be accessed.

Your session may have expired. You'll need to log in again or switch to another account to keep working.Log in or switch to another account

When I edit the page, I also see that I am currently EDITING the page.  I do everything, relog in, etc, but Conflulence acts like I'm someone else.

Looks like a defect in Confluence API. Multiple copy addons (if not all) experience the same issue.

If I understand it correctly, Confluence team is already working on a fix.

It looks like a bug:
https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONFCLOUD-69987

Issue Summary

If a page has a file attached from another page which is restricted, if the user doesn't have access to the second page, this user won't be able to edit the page. This also happens when the attachment is set in a draft of another page.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Create a page (A) and attach a PDF file
  2. Restricted this page (A) and publish it
  3. Create a second page (B) and insert a PDF macro
  4. Set the restricted page (A) on the macro and select the PDF file
  5. Publish the page (B)
  6. Ask an user without access to the restricted page (A) to edit the other page (B)

OR

  1. Create a page and attach a PDF file
  2. Publish that page
  3. Access ••• and delete the PDF file
  4. Try to edit the page

Workaround

  • If the file is restricted, either remove the restrictions for the other page or re-attach the file to the page that needs to be edited.
  • If the file was deleted, restore it from the space's trash.
  • If the file is in a draft of another page, add the file to the page that the user is trying to edit.
