Hi,

I got a new Confluence Cloud instance, added some users and started putting in my documentation.

However, every user gets an Email for every little change - although they have never subscribed to these pages.

I need to turn this off - People are complaining already.

What I did till now:

  • I logged in as every User and changed their settings to not get any emails on content changed events.
    • User Settings-> Email
  • I turned off "Send Email by Default" in the General Settings
  • I changed to "Weekly" notification Emails in General Settings

I tried to turn off the responsible modules - but this is not possible in the cloud instance.

Thank you in advance.

Hi Angelo, the settings you changed are correct and they should not keep receiving emails with that.

I have one last thing to try before you open a ticket with Atlassian support, go to confluence configuration -> Recommended Update Emails, and uncheck send by default.

If that doesn't work I would suggest you to open a ticket with Atlassian support.

Hope it helps. smile

Hi Cassiano.

I just came across this and i could not find the General Settings.

  • I turned off "Send Email by Default" in the General Settings

Can you assist me in finding the setting.

Thank you
