The new editor image management experience does not spark joy, I need it gone

I work predominately with images. I would take a number of photos, 10-20 of work in progress and upload these on a page. In the old, consistently working editor the images would be resized to a comfortable size, and packed in a grid, and I would sometimes re-arrange images by dragging them to new locations in the grid. This operation would take me perhaps 20s and would involve perhaps 3 mouse clicks. 

It is literally impossible to do the above on the new editor.

I need the ability to roll back a page to the old editor.

Agreed, it is not a pleasant experience.
