'create issue' pop up in confluence customisation

Tom Mason April 11, 2019

Is it possible to edit the conditions that appear when you highlight text in confluence and select 'create issue'?

Tom -  When you highlight text in confluence and select the 'create issue', the dialogue pops up for you to enter the project, issue type, and any supported required fields.

Can you clarify what you are trying to do or what conditions you are thinking about?

So at the moment when i highlight text in conflunence and select 'create issue' a pop up appears and asks me to select a project, issue type, summary and description of the issue i'm trying to create.

I'd like to be able to add extra fields in this pop-up, so I can assign it to specific teams within our project or other variables. I've attached a screen shot to show you an example. I want to be able to add different variables than the ones with red *

Hope this helps!

The ones in red mean they are required, so you need to have those at a minimum in order to create an issue for that JIRA project/issue type.

So what you would need to do is to make the fields that you want to show up in that dialogue required for that JIRA project/Issue Type.  You can do that in the field configuration in JIRA associated with that project/issue type.  Reference link: field behavior

once the fields are required, they should show up in that dialogue box for subsequent issue creation.

Make sense?  Let me know if you have any questions about this.
